Metaverse Fashion Week & Crypto Fashion Week to happen in March 2022

March will be a busy month for digital fashion designers & fans, as two major events line up to showcase digital wearables very soon.

Metaverse Fashion Week

Metaverse Fashion Week, the first-ever fashion week in the metaverse, will be hosted on Decentraland. The event will feature runways with virtual avatars, as well as digital item shops selling wearable items in the Decentraland platform.

The event will be led by UNXD, a luxury NFT marketplace well known for their partnership with Dolce & Gabanna on their NFTs. Alongside Dolce & Gabanna, other major brands like Tommy Hilfiger are planning to show digitized versions of their Spring 2022 collection through this event. Chanel is another brand participating in the event and will be showing films related to their brand on the virtual movie theater.

Metaverse Fashion Week will be an event for rising designers and digital-specific fashion brands as well. On a venue named "New Designers Street", wearables designed by new designers and brands will be showcased to the metaverse audience.

Crypto Fashion Week

Crypto Fashion Week is an annual event organized by Universal Contemporary, a cryptomedia company that is known for their diverse crypto-cultural events like Crypto Music Week, Crypto Art Week, and Meta Gala.

This year’s event will start on March 18, though the specifics of the event is yet to be announced. The inaugural event last year featured workshops by RTFKT, The Dematerialized, and The Fabricant, as well as speakers from DressX and Vogue Business.
